Aussie Sheep and Wool Show By Lethal
The Australian Sheep and Wool Show is back once again at Bendigo Showgrounds and runs from Friday 17th July to Sunday 19th. The fun event is one of Australia’s major sheep displays and the main attractions include wool handlers and shearers, fashion, sheepdog trials, animal nursery, great food, fibre with fashion parades on show, great tea and stalls. The times for the days are 9am till 5pm for the first 2 days, and 9am till 4pm on the Sunday.
The show has been going since 1877 and this year’s event is a fantastic one to go and have a look at. A key part of the 3 day event is the Women of Wool Series; this gives women the chance to celebrate women in wool industries and discovering wool, also wearable art which is an awesome part of the wool craft competition. To cap off the fun activities will be the very popular Women of Wool luncheon.
In the Festive of Lamb site at the show there are cooking and carving lessons as well as sampling of the best lamb. Another highlight to see is wool handlers and shearer competitors with displays of the “best of best” sheep breeders.
