Beware the quiet ones By mouse

Has anyone ever noticed how it’s always the quiet ones that you have to watch out for? The ones who go unnoticed while they creep behind you to sink their emotional dagger into your unprotected back or they kick you while you’re down and hit you with a crushing cheap shot.

You all know that one person who is always quiet, the one who waits patiently to use that one comment that not only stabs you and wounds you deeply but twists the knife and rubs salt into your wounds and then recedes back into the shadows of whence they came before you even know what hit you, leaving you to suffer on the ground scarred and alone.

Seriously, we all seem to never notice the quiet kid who sits at the back of the class or the quiet girl down the hall who sits quietly in her office cubicle that seem to come from the shadows out of nowhere to deliver the perfect insult and then disappear again leaving you scratching your head and wondering, “Did that really just happen or did I really just see that?”

You know I’m talking about those people who are guaranteed to sit back and wait till everyone else is on board for your brilliant idea before they choose to emerge from the shadow and bring it all crashing down around you by revealing the one flaw in your plan that ruins everything.

By now you may be asking yourself, how do I know so much about the quiet ones? Well my friends, it’s quite simple really: I discovered it a long time ago and the truth of the matter is that…I AM ONE OF THEM!
